Susan Kohler is a licensed professional counselor specializing in individual therapy for adults. She grew up in California and has lived in 6 states across the US. She's been in Richmond since 2003. She is married and has two rescued dogs. In her spare time she regulary practices meditation, enjoys learning new crafts, hiking along the many trails in the area, and spending time with loved ones.
Her counseling approach includes mindfulness and self-compassion practices, insight-based therapy, art, games, and storytelling. She primarily uses a non-directive approach in order to empower clients to find and create their own journey towards healing.
